Palak Matar Stir Fry sabzi is a quick and easy recipe where fresh green spinach leaves are sautéed with green peas and simple spices.

Ingredients
  • Palak – ½ bunch
  • Peas – 1/3 cup
  • Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Red Chilli – 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – ½ tsp
Instructions
  1. Wash the spinach thoroughly. Chop finely.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add cumin seeds and red chilli. Sauté.
  3. Put in the spinach and green peas. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add asafoetida, turmeric and salt. Mix well.
  5. Cook uncovered for 7-10 minutes on medium heat till all the water evaporates and the peas are cooked.
  6. Remove and serve Matar Palak with rice and dal.
