Ingredients

  • 400 grams mushrooms
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tbsp chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

Instructions

  • For sautéed mushrooms recipe, firstly wipe clean the mushrooms with a damp kitchen towel. Then place the mushrooms in a colander and rinse them until any dirt washes away. Then pat the mushrooms dry.
  • Heat butter and oil in a large pan over medium high.
  • Once the butter has melted, add the onions and sauté till they become soft and translucent.
  • Next add the mushrooms and toss with all the ingredients. Allow the mushrooms to sit in the mixture, without stirring, for 1-2 minutes.

  • Turn off the heat and add a dash of lime juice. Combine well.
  • Sprinkle with coriander and remove.
  • Serve sautéed mushrooms in garlic butter as side with rice or over pizza or pasta.
