Alternate names for China Grass are Agar-Agar, Kanten, Japanese isinglass, China grass, Ceylon moss or Jaffna moss.

Agar-agar is a vegetarian gelatin substitute used to make jellies, puddings, ice creams and custards.

Instant Milk Jelly is definitely a crowd-pleaser and a cool dessert for any occasion. It’s pure happiness in every gorgeous spoonful.

China Grass Milk Jelly Recipe:

Delicious and refreshing, so light and firm, this jiggly-wiggly Strawberry Milk Jelly is such a nostalgic summertime treat. Jelly with milk is super-easy to make and tastes amazing. Once you try this instant jelly, you’ll be completely hooked!

This delicious dessert can be made in advance and kept in the fridge… nice and chilled, it’s just perfect for the summer!

  • To make Strawberry-flavoured Milk Jelly, firstly boil 500 ml of milk.

  • Keep the instant China Grass Milk Jelly Strawberry Flavour packet ready.

  • Remove the premix sachet from the packet and keep aside.

  • Add 100 grams of Instant China Grass Mix to the boiling milk.

  • Stir vigorously till the premix is well dissolved in the milk.

  • Pour the prepared hot mix into a container or mould.

  • The milk jelly sets within minutes (with or without refrigeration).

  • Meanwhile, chop up almonds, pistachios and cashew nuts and keep aside
  • Once the instant milk jelly sets, refrigerate until serving time
  • Remove the strawberry jelly mould from the fridge, loosen the sides with a knife and invert upside down on a plate.

  • Decorate the strawberry jelly with chopped dry fruits and colourful sprinkles.

  • Serve China Grass Milk Jelly immediately.

Strawberry Jelly with Milk

Strawberry jelly with milk is a refreshing dessert, so light and tasty. It’s really easy to make milk jelly and it sets a lot quicker than normal jelly.

Ingredients

  • 500 ml milk
  • 100 grams Instant China Grass Mix
  • ¼ cup almonds pistachios and walnuts, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup sprinkles

Instructions

  • To make strawberry milk jelly, firstly pour half a litre of milk into a vessel and bring it to a boil.
  • Empty the contents of China Grass Milk Jelly mix into the milk.
  • Stir well till dissolved.
  • Pour the milk jelly mixture into a container or mould.
  • It sets within minutes, with or without being refrigerated.
  • Meanwhile, finely chop pistachios, almonds and cashewnuts.
  • Once the milk jelly sets, place in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Then remove from the fridge and invert it on a serving plate.
  • Decorate with chopped mixed nuts and colourful sprinkles.
  • Serve Instant China Grass Strawberry Milk Jelly immediately
