Naan Pizza Recipe – Indian Naan Flatbread Pizza Recipe

Naan Pizza is a quick, simple and yummy dish that can be assembled in minutes. If you wish to grab a quick dinner, this easy Naan Bread Pizza recipe is a good option. It’s super-easy to make and taste just as good as the look. You can add any topping that appeals to you to spice up your plain, flavoured or whole-wheat Naan.

Looking forward to Pizza night? Try this quick and easy Flatbread Pizza that has a crisp golden crust, lots of cheese and veggies, and is so yummy and takes no time at all to make! It’s the perfect weeknight meal. Your family will simply love this delicious recipe. Serve these pizzas alongside a salad or a nourishing soup.

  • To make simple and delicious Naan Pizza, firstly heat a pan and drizzle a teaspoon of oil or butter. Then place a Naan on the pan and cook over low-medium heat, flipping the flatbread once the bottom is warmed through. Cook for about 30 seconds and then remove the flatbread onto a plate and set aside to cool down.
  • Then evenly apply a regular pizza sauce or any other sauce of your choice on the cooked Indian Flatbread. You can apply hummus too.

  • Next sprinkle grated cheese and arrange diced vegetables of your choice over the cheese. You can use mushroom, pepperoni slices, green peppers, tomato, onion slices or even meat, fish or shrimp.

  • Now drizzle hot sauce on top of the veggies and top with grated cheese.
  • Then place the flatbread back on the skillet using a spatula and cook over low heat till the cheese melts. Remove from pan onto a plate and allow the flatbread pizza to cool a little.
  • Serve Naan Pizza with Green Salad.

Ingredients

  • Store-bought/Homemade Naan – 1
  • Butter/oil – 1 tsp
  • Pizza Sauce/Ranch Dressing – 1 tbsp
  • Shredded Cheese – 7 tbsp
  • Lettuce – 1/3 cup, chopped
  • Hot Sauce/Chilli Sauce – 1 tsp
  • Veggies/meat of your choice – ½ cup

Instructions

  • For this easy Indian flatbread recipe, heat a pan and add 1 tsp butter or oil. On medium-low heat cook naan on both sides for one minute until warmed through. Remove onto a plate and allow to cool.
  • Spread pizza sauce/ranch dressing (or any sauce of your choice) on the Naan.
  • Sprinkle 4 tbsp of shredded cheese and layer with shredded lettuce and veggies.
  • Add chilli/hot sauce on top and finish with 3 tbsp of grated cheese.
  • With help of a spatula place it on a hot pan. Cook on low heat, until cheese melts.
  • Remove and allow to cool slightly.
  • Serve Homemade Flatbread Pizza hot with salad.

Notes

* You can add your choice of veggies, meat, fish or shrimp - grilled artichokes, button mushrooms, bell peppers, diced ham, tomato, black olives, onions, sweet corn, tuna, pineapple, etc
* You can also use pita bread, tortillas or any Indian Flat Bread.
