Grape And Apple Salad With Citrus Dressing

A fresh-tasting salad where apples and grapes take centrestage. This fruit salad with a light dressing can be enjoyed solo or served asan accompaniment.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup green grapes chopped
  • ½ cup black grapes chopped
  • 1 cup apples chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp honey
  • ½ tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp basil chopped

Instructions

  • Wash the green and black grapes and remove the stems. Cut the grapes in half.
  • Next wash, core and cut the apples into bite sized pieces.
  • Take the chopped apples and grapes in a medium size bowl.
  • Drizzle lemon juice, olive oil and honey. Combine until well coated.
  • Add salt, pepper and lemon zest. Toss everything well. Adjust the seasoning (If you’ve got a sweet tooth, feel free to add more honey).
  • Garnish with chopped basil leaves.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Serve chilled Apple Grape salad as a side with grilled chicken. Enjoy!
