Ingredients
Chal Kumro/Ash Gourd – 1 ½ cups
Milk – 1/8 cup
Paanch phodon – ¼ tsp
Dry red chili - 1
Salt – ½ tsp tsp
Sugar – ½ tsp
Grated coconut – ¼ cup
Oil – ½ tsp
Ghee – ½ tsp
Instructions
Wash and peel the ash gourd. Rinse in water and cut into thin strips. Grate the coconut and keep aside.
Heat oil and ghee in a frying pan. Temper with paanch phodon and red chili.
Add the chalkumro and sauté it.
Season with salt and sugar. Mix well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove the lid and mix in the grated coconut.
Stir in milk and cook the chalkumro on low-medium heat untill done.
Remove and serve Chal Kumro Dudh Curry with rice and dal.
