Chilli Garlic Mushrooms Recipe:

This sweet and spicy stir-fry mushrooms is a truly delightful dish where plump and juicy mushrooms are sautéed with spicy green chillies, pungent onions, rich garlic, crispy capsicum, crunchy carrots and coated with a thick glossy sauce. A delicious and healthy-ish side dish, Chilli Garlic Mushroom is packed with flavors. Every mouthful of this lovely and flavorful sesame garlic mushrooms will tickle your senses.   • For this Chilli Garlic Mushrooms, firstly rinse the mushrooms well and pat dry. Slice them lengthwise and keep aside.
  • Cube the onions and capsicum. Finely mince the garlic cloves. Wash, peel and cut the carrots into roundels. Set aside.

  • Next heat about two tablespoons of oil in a wok or kadai. Add the chopped garlic and saute for a few seconds, to release the garlicky flavour.
  • Then put in the chopped onions and slit green chillies. Saute for 1-2 minutes till the onions start to sweat.

  • Add the diced capsicum and carrots and saute for a 1-2 minutes.

  • Now drop in the sliced mushrooms and toss well to combine.

  • Cover with a lid and cook for about 10 minutes over low heat.

  • Mushrooms will release water and will cook in their own juices.
  • Meanwhile, take the sauces and the cornflour in a small mixing bowl. Mix well and set aside.

  • Now uncover and check if the mushrooms are cooked.
  • Once the mushrooms are cooked through, pour the sauce mixture into the pan and coat the mushrooms and veggies with it.

  • Sprinkle ½ tsp salt and mix well. Sprinkle sesame seeds.

  • Remove glazed mushrooms from heat. Transfer into a serving dish.

  • Serve Chilli Garlic Mushrooms over Noodles or Fried Rice.

Sesame Garlic Mushrooms

These Asian-style glazed mushrooms with sesame are an amazing side-dish for fried rice or noodles that require very little hands-on time. Sesame Garlic Stir-Fried Mushrooms are for those days you just don’t feel like cooking. They take so little time and effort to make, but are so huge on flavour.

Ingredients

  • 200 gms mushrooms
  • 2 medium onions diced
  • 10 garlic cloves finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies sliced
  • 1 small capsicum
  • 2 small carrots
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Rinse the mushrooms and pat dry. Slice them lengthwise and keep aside.
  • Dice the onion and capsicum. Finely chop the garlic. Peel and cut the carrots into roundels. Keep aside.
  • Heat about 2 tbsp oil in a kadai. Drop in the garlic and saute for a few seconds.
  • Next add the onion and green chillies. Saute till the onions turn transparent.
  • Put in the capsicum, carrots and saute for a minute.
  • Then add the mushrooms and combine all the ingredients well.
  • Cover and cook for about ten minutes over low heat.
  • Mushrooms release water and so will cook in their own liquid.
  • Meanwhile, take a small mixing bowl. Add the sauces and cornflour and combine well. Set aside.
  • After about 10 minutes, remove the lid and check if the mushrooms are cooked.
  • Once the mushrooms are done, add the sauce mixture to the mushrooms and mix everything well.
  • Sprinkle ½ tsp salt and mix well.
  • Remove from heat and transfer into a serving dish.
  • Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
  • Serve Chilli Garlic Mushrooms as a side with Fried Rice.
