In a mixing bowl, beat fresh yogurt till smooth.

Sprinkle salt, roasted cumin powder, and red chilli powder. Mix well

This Indian yogurt sauce recipe is super easy and a fantastic way to use up garden fresh cucumbers. Cucumber and yoghurt dip tastes wonderful paired with flavoured rice dishes or Indian flatbread. Yogurt with cucumber with its cool and refreshing flavour also tastes great with carrot sticks or with hot spicy dishes.

Ingredients
  • Cucumber – 1 small
  • Curd – 100 gms
  • Roasted cumin powder – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder – ⅛ tsp
Instructions
  1. To make this yogurt and cucumber recipe, wash, peel and grate the cucumber.
  2. Take curd in a mixing bowl, and whisk it till smooth.
  3. Add salt, red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder and mix well.
  4. Blend in grated cucumber and chopped coriander. Combine all the ingredients.
  5. Refrigerate grated cucumber raita.
  6. Serve chilled kheera raita with parathas or pulao.
Notes
Refrigerate cucumber raita before serving.
You can add a little squeeze of lemon.
