Fish Fry Masala Andhra

Indian pan-fried fish is a nice crispy brown on the outside while moist and flaky on the inside. There’s nothing like this Andhra fried fish dish and it makes for a really delicious meal!

Fish is rich in protein, vitamins and nutrients that lower blood pressure and reduce heart attack risk. It is low in fat and high in protein. Moreover, fish is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and Vitamin D.

Fish Fry Masala Andhra Recipe Step By Step:

Andhra Style Chepa Vepudu is roasted fish tempered with crisp curry leaves and fresh spices. This is one of my favourite ways of cooking seafood at home. South Indian fish fry is a spicy fish delicacy best enjoyed with steamed rice and dal.

How to make Andhra fish fry masala:

  • For this pan fried fish recipe, firstly clean and wash the fish pieces. Then smear salt, turmeric and red chilli powder all over the fish pieces and keep aside for 30 minutes.

  • Meanwhile finely slice onion, slit the green chillies, chop coriander leaves and pick curry leaves.

  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a deep-bottomed pan. Slide in the marinated fish slices and fry on medium heat till both sides are well cooked and turn a warm brown.

  • Remove fried masala fish with a slotted spoon and keep aside.

  • Add 1 tbsp oil to the same pan. Toss in curry leaves and green chillies.
  • Next add chopped onions and sauté till they start to brown.
