How to make mixed dry fruits roll:

If you are using dense or dry dates, then add some butter/ margarine to moisten them). Keep aside.
- Then chop or coarsely grind pistachios and cashew nuts. Also blanch almonds and chop into tiny pieces.
- Heat ghee in a wide pan. Tip in the chopped or ground date-fig mixture and saute for a couple of minutes or till they soften.
- Now add the chopped or ground pistas, cashews and almonds.
- Mix well till all the dry fruits are well incorporated and come together as a mass.
- Saute for a couple of minutes more. Transfer onto a plate and set aside to cool.
- Grease your hands with ghee and shape the dry fruits mixture into a cylindrical log.
- Wrap the dry fruit and nuts log in foil.
- Refrigerate the dry fruits burfi for about an hour or so.
